Hey everyone! Here's a story for you! Well, we decided to try and have another baby as soon as I stopped nursing. I stopped in October and the doctors said that since we struggled they recommended for us to keep going if we wanted more. So we decided to see if my body would work on it's own and put off the fertility drugs until later.
Well, the end of November I had a visitor and we thought well, I don't know if I will ovulate, but we might as well try. So we did and then my visitor never came. I took two pregnancy tests, both different weeks and both came out negative. So I just thought it will never come like it has done in the past, where then the doctors have to give me meds to induce it. I ended up getting some meds, but decided to wait a little longer. God kept telling me not to take them, so I decided to wait to take them until Jan. 1.
My doctor recommended that I take another pregnancy test before I start. I got up that morning and went to the bathroom and realized that I had one more test left. As I was taking it, I thought, "this is such a waste of money, but my doctor said so." I took the test and put it on the bathroom shelf and decided to hop on the scale. It's January 1, I got to get back to eating right and losing the rest of this baby weight.Well, when I turned around, I looked at the pregnancy test and it looked like it was coming up positive. "That's coming up positive!" I said shocked! I ran down the stairs where Stephen was finishing the dishes and said, "Stephen, this pregnancy test is positive, it says I am pregnant!!"
He was shocked and I kept saying this test isn't right. Stephen kept reassuring me that it was correct and that we were being blessed by God to have another one. I am still shocked and ended up going to the doctor the following Monday were they did a blood test to confirm. God certainly answered another one of our prayers, we are truly blessed.
I am currently 12 weeks and will be due around Sept. 7, 2011. My doctor doesn't want me to go past 39 weeks, so I will go Aug. 31 or sooner depending on if my water breaks. We just pray that the baby continues to grow strong and healthy, for a healthy pregnancy and delivery. May the Lord bless you in your days and here's to a new year with a new addition to the family!
