Riding the Bike/Painting

It has been really cold lately, so we brought in Stevie's bike. The boys like to ride it around the house. They do pretty well with not running into things, of course Ethan has to have help because the seat is too high for his little legs to reach the floor. We could lower it, but then Stevie would have a hard time riding. Plus they don't ride it that much because when they start to fight over it, we take it away. Yep, fighting over the toys and things has started. Also we decided to paint with watercolors tonight. They enjoyed painting their pictures, Ethan liked to put the brush in his mouth and Stevie had fun experimenting with the paint. They are too cute! Also you will see one of our walls looks awful, that's because we are redoing it. Can't wait for it to be finished, the boys took the horrible wallpaper off for us!

Painting Class at Hobby Lobby

Today I went to a painting class at Hobby Lobby. It has been about 4 years since I have painted and I have never really done much with Landscape. Hobby Lobby has a class once or twice a month for Bob Ross painting. I thought it would be fun for me to take to get some "me time" before the baby arrives. It was amazing. It started at 9:30 and went until 3:30, we did get a lunch break. It reminded me how much fun and frustrating painting can be. There is so much about painting that I need to learn though. In high school I took art classes but never just a painting class. I would certainly recommend others to take the class. The picture that I did doesn't look exactly as the one they showed. One reason is this was my first time plus I wanted my painting to be more "bright" than dark. Great experience and I don't think it came out too bad. Hopefully my uncle will like it and they also had a drawing for the instructor's painting- which I won!!

Date Night!!

Tonight we went on a date night. Julie watched the boys for us while we went to Kobe steakhouse. They were busy so we sat on the lounge side and ate sushi. It was very yummy. After we finished went went looking around the Village Pointe mall and got a cute onesie for Noah. Nothing too exciting, but it was great to get out with the hubby. We hope to have a few more date nights before we deliver.

Zoo in January

We went to the zoo in January. We have a zoo pass and Stevie has been asking for the zoo. We thought why not and went to the jungle and aquarium. The boys loved it and the zoo was not busy at all. The monkeys were very active today. Lots of fun and the boys took a nice nap afterwards.
