Grandma!! Celebrating her life!

Today we celebrated Grandma Idonna's life! She was a very special and wonderful person who taught me a lot. I am so grateful to have known her and to be apart of her life.  She was a tough minded woman and certainly always gave it to me straight. She believed in me, listened to me, and gave me advice and encouragement when I needed it. She would often say, "anyway, anyhow" and would certainly mention that she would give me a "swift kick in the butt" if I needed it and in my life - Lord knows that I needed it a lot.
My last phone call with her was about my new job that I would be starting; becoming a media specialist next fall. I expressed to her that I was nervous, scared, and excited- but more scared that I wouldn't be any good and would fail. She then said, "Jen, where's your confidence? You better find it or I am going to have to come down and kick your butt"...lol.
In her final day,  I got to spend it with her, telling her how much I loved her, that I was honored to have known her and most importantly thanking her for being my Grandma and for loving me. She said she loved me back and then later said, I don't know what to do. I expressed that she didn't need to do anything.... That God will take care of the rest. She passed with Julie and I  at 7:45am...words cannot express that moment...it is too much emotion.

Josiah is 5 months!!

Josiah is 5 months today. He can almost sit up...well he mainly tumbles over, but we are getting there. He has tried oatmeal, but not a fan. He loves to chew on toys and rolls/moves around quite a bit. He is so cute and can babble your ear off at times. Love him so much!!!

Easter! He has Risen!!

For Easter, we did not go to church since the boys won't sit through service and it would be crazy. So we went to Lauritzen Gardens to see the legos, Jimmy's Egg for brunch, and then had an Easter Egg hunt at our house. The boys really enjoyed seeing all the sites and eating pancakes. We are certainly blessed!!
