Popcorn SUNDAY

Here is our Sunday evenings at the Prasch family home. We started doing popcorn Sundays about 4 weeks ago. On Sunday morning we go to church and come home to make a wonderful brunch of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs. So we are usually in the kitchen cleaning up the mess for a while, I try to make pancakes before then freeze, but sometimes I don't always get to it. So for Sunday evenings, Stephen mentioned something that his boss does with his family about eating popcorn for dinner. So now on Sundays starting at 6pm we have movie night and just eat popcorn for dinner. The boys love it! So do we because we don't have to cook or clean up. It's a day of rest for God and us. We buy a BIG  bag of Vic's popcorn, my favorite and that big bag usually lasts up to 4 weeks- so 4 Sundays at $7.95 for the bag. Not bad for a family of 4 eating for $2.00 a dinner, (Noah can't eat popcorn yet, sorry buddy..your day will come!)

Making Tomato Soup

We have lots of tomatoes from our garden and Anna said she had great recipe for tomato soup. She came over to help us make it today. It took about 3 hours, but it was worth it! We made plenty. You mainly quarter all the veggies, then cook it until it's all floppy..lol. Then you pull it through this grinder thing to get all the juices and keep doing that until there is no juice. Cook it once more with the flour mixture for about 15 minutes then let cool.  I froze lots and we ate it for lunch. (She usually cans it, but we thought it would be good to freeze since I haven't canned yet.) The boys loved it with their grilled cheese. I love stocking up the deep freeze for meals. Yum!!

7 years of Marriage

Tonight we celebrated 7 years of marriage. We didn't really do gifts since we are going to California in October, but we decided to go out to eat. I do plan on getting Stephen wool socks since 7 years is wool, but I forgot my wallet and couldn't stop to get it after work..lol. So he will get them late..lol. We asked Julie and Shane to babysit for us while we went to Sushi Japan. We have never been there before and went because it's close to our house and also we had a gift card. We enjoyed our dinner very much. The chef created a dragon with our sushi, it looked too amazing to eat. The dragon's tongue was octopus, which we both tried. Never again will I eat it, but at least I can say I tried it. After dinner we went to Applebee's for dessert, it was also very yummy! I was very full by the end of the night.
I am truly grateful that God has blessed me more than I deserve. Stephen is the best husband ever and I couldn't image my life without him. I am truly honored to be his wife and can't wait for the many more years...many more memories to come. Love you My Love!!
