Yutan Volleyball

Last night we all went to Rachel's volleyball game! (Stevie and Ethan's cousin) She plays JV and also received a jersey to play varsity, which she played in later that night! She rocked in her game and is very good!

Stevie climbing on everything and cheering Rachel on!!

 She is number 2.

 Giving some brotherly love!

Rachel meeting Ethan for the first time

Bubbles

Outside the other day playing with bubbles, I meant to posted earlier, but having 2 kids keeps you busy!

Ethan hanging out while we play with Bubbles. He is too cute. We had a hearing test the other day, (he had passed the one when he was born, but we wanted it retested after he was hospitalized for his illness.) He didn't pass, which has been hard to digest. They found fluid behind his eardrums so we are hoping that is why he failed. He will be retested again on Oct. 25, hoping the fluid will be gone. Plus they also want to check the nerves to see if the meningitis damaged them, we are praying that everything is ok with his hearing and that it is just the fluid.

Stevie chasing bubbles! He had his observation two days ago and did very well with the speech path. he said  4 words while she was here (little stinker!) He said dog, duck, what, and bye. She said he seems to be fine and gave us some suggestions on some other things we can implemement while working with him on his speech, so hopefully he will explode in his language development over the next 6 months. Leave it t our son to perform when needed, he gets his stubbornness from both of us. :)

Playing around

Stevie using his Daddy as a jungle gym :) He would stand on the ottoman and Daddy would flip him over. It was really cute!

Stephen holding Ethan. He has been having some screaming evenings. It has not been fun. I am changing my diet to the mspi diet to see if that helps. He can be fussy after he eats sometimes, so we are hoping that is the cause of it and that it is not colic. Time will tell, I plan on trying this for a while to see if we have any positive results.
I am not one to use the "nuk" but at this point anything to stop the screaming.

Stevie likes to use my ipod for flashcards and for youtube videos. Here  I was showing him how to move the cards wit his finger and he decided to use my finger to move them. It was cute and funny. Over the course of Stevie's life we have read many books, flashcards, sign language and yet he has recessed in his speech. He was saying about 5 words and now chooses not to say any. It has been heartbreaking for me, but I am hoping that he is just focused on his motor skills and eventually the verbal will catch up. Next Wednesday, he will be observed by a speech path. for further instruction/services.
Stevie doing it on his own.

A real bath...still not a fan.

Ethan's first bath where he can finally get fully wet. He still is not a fan of the bath tub, but eventually I think he will grow to love it. :)
